Language Arts Reflection

I chose my fiction piece because I really enjoyed writing it and I liked the way I wrote it. When I am a fiction writer I need to write in a certain style. I asked myself what books I wanted in the world. Asking this question leads me to invent a character with traits, struggles, and actions. To write about an issue that is important to you helps you decide how to make the character’s struggle in the story. Among all these vital things, fiction writers must remember, to create the characters internal and external traits.
When I was composing my fiction piece the first thing I did was to outline my piece in a story map. In the beginning of my piece I needed to introduce my characters and made sure my readers could picture the setting. Clearly letting the reader know what the character wants and what obstacles stand in the way, helped create conflict and produces a more interesting story for the reader. I wanted to include dialog that allows the reader to see what the characters are doing. The thing I love to do was to write the events with small moment after small moment so it leads to the climax. The last thing I did was to resolve the story so there were no loose ends. I really think my fiction piece was the best out of all my writing pieces and I hope you love it too! J
